Phillip or Narrabundah? Your Guide to Puppy Yoga Across Canberra

Canberra gives you two places to look for Yoga Paws sessions: Phillip and Narrabundah. That's useful if you're arranging a weekend with friends from different suburbs or deciding how far you want to travel.

Both venues offer the same basic puppy yoga experience. The practical difference is where you'll be going, and which dates are available. Here's how to choose between them without turning up at the wrong studio.

Phillip: puppy yoga in the Woden area

Our Phillip sessions are held at Mood Creative Studio, 50 Colbee Court, Phillip ACT 2606. This venue can be convenient for guests coming from the Woden Valley and nearby southern Canberra suburbs.

If you're organising a visit from that side of the city, the Phillip location may fit naturally around the rest of your weekend. Just make sure you enter the full studio address into your directions, not simply 'Woden'.

Narrabundah: a Canberra inner-south alternative

In Narrabundah, we hold sessions at Sanctuary Canberra, 17 Brockman Street, Narrabundah ACT 2604. This is another option for people travelling from Canberra's inner south, including Griffith, Kingston and nearby suburbs.

It's a different location from the Phillip studio, but the session itself follows the same animal-first approach. Choose it because the date or part of Canberra suits you, rather than assuming one studio has more puppy interaction than the other.

Is the experience different between the studios?

Our standard session lasts one hour. We begin with a short introduction, move into gentle instructor-led yoga, allow supervised puppy playtime and close with a resting period. The classes are designed for beginners, so you don't need previous yoga experience.

Some visitors make it very hard to concentrate on the poses.

The animals have a separate rest space and decide how much they want to interact. Puppies, breeds and instructors can change between dates. There's no promise that one Canberra venue has a particular breed or that a puppy will choose your mat.

We want the experience to be consistent in the things that matter: welcoming instruction, suitable supervision, clean equipment and plenty of respect for the animals.

Which Canberra location should you choose?

Start by checking the actual session date and venue shown when booking. We use both locations as part of our Canberra programme, but that doesn't mean both run sessions every weekend. A previous booking confirmation isn't a reliable guide to your next visit.

If you're coming with friends, compare the available dates first and then share the full address with everyone. Leave time to arrive, check in and get settled before the class. Wear comfortable clothing, bring water and follow the team's instructions on where to leave shoes and bags.

Guests need to be at least 12 years old, so check that detail too if you're organising a family outing or birthday group.

Finding current Canberra dates

Our Canberra puppy yoga page brings together available sessions in both Phillip and Narrabundah, with the relevant studio details for each date.

Whichever venue you choose, the plan is straightforward: an hour of gentle yoga with puppies who are free to take their own approach to the occasion. Having the right address is the easy part we can help with before you arrive.
