Planning a Canberra Team Outing Around Puppy Yoga

If you are organising a Canberra team outing, puppy yoga gives colleagues an activity to share rather than another meeting with refreshments. The useful first step is deciding whether the team will join a public studio session or enquire about a private booking.

Those are different arrangements, with different timings and planning needs. Choose the one that suits your headcount and working day before circulating an invitation or promising a particular date.

A small team can join a scheduled session

For a smaller group, booking the same public class may be the simplest option. Our standard studio session lasts 60 minutes, with beginner-friendly yoga, dedicated puppy time and relaxation. It follows the published timetable and is shared with other ticketed guests.

Check that enough places remain, then coordinate the exact listing. Everyone needs to book the same date, time and studio. Public-session availability is not an exclusive team reservation, and the room still follows our usual handling and participation rules.

Choose the right Canberra address

Our Canberra studios are Mood Creative Studio, 50 Colbee Court, Phillip, and Sanctuary Canberra, 17 Brockman Street, Narrabundah. The address attached to the chosen session determines where the group needs to meet.

Consider the journey from your workplace and each person's plans afterwards. An outing in Phillip may make sense for one team, while Narrabundah suits another. Allow for travel and arrival as well as the hour on the mat when putting the activity into the calendar.

A private workplace booking needs a separate conversation

If you need a weekday, an exclusive group or delivery at your own venue, enquire about corporate puppy yoga. Our private corporate format is advertised as 75 minutes, so do not use the public class's one-hour duration to plan it.

Send the date, preferred time, headcount and proposed venue with your enquiry. If it is at your workplace, include details of the room and access so we can assess suitability. Confirm setup, pack-down, animal arrangements and the quote before presenting the plan as booked.

Make the invitation useful for colleagues

Tell people what the activity involves: gentle instructor-led movement on a mat, time around puppies and a relaxed closing period. No previous yoga experience is needed, but colleagues should know they will be sitting and moving on the floor.

Ask about participation requirements before booking, and offer a way for someone to raise an access need or concern privately. Anyone who does not want close contact with dogs should not discover the animal element on the day. Comfortable clothing, a ticket and a completed waiver are the practical essentials for a public class.

Keep the animals' needs in the plan

Our staff supervise the puppies while the instructor leads the class. Handling stays seated, guests remain on their mats and the animals can approach or retreat freely. A team photograph is optional; the puppies' rest is not.

Keep any presentation, catering or other workplace activity separate unless arrangements have been agreed with us. To begin with a studio visit, explore the current Canberra puppy yoga sessions. For a private outing, make the enquiry early enough to confirm the practical details before the team invitation goes out.
