Puppy Yoga in Maroochydore: How Our Sunshine Coast Sessions Run

Our Sunshine Coast sessions bring yoga and puppies together at The Station Pilates, 11 Beach Road, Maroochydore. The photographs show the company you might have on your mat; here is how we organise the visit around that company.
A standard public session lasts 60 minutes. There is guided yoga, dedicated puppy time and relaxation, with an instructor leading the class and staff looking after the animals throughout. You can arrive as a complete beginner.

Arriving at The Station Pilates
Check the address and time on your booking confirmation before setting off. We provide a yoga mat, so comfortable clothes you can stretch and sit in are the main preparation. Choose something that will cope with a curious paw rather than an outfit that needs careful protecting.
Before entering the yoga space, leave shoes, bags and personal belongings in the designated area and sanitise your hands. Every guest needs a valid ticket and completed waiver. Our minimum age is 12; younger teenagers aged 12-14 attend with a ticketed adult, and anyone under 18 needs parent or guardian consent.
Getting comfortable with the puppies
The introduction explains how the class works and how to handle the puppies safely. Stay seated when holding a puppy, keep to your mat and let the animal choose whether to approach or move away. Our staff are there to help if you are unsure what to do.
A puppy may want to investigate your mat, play nearby or settle somewhere quieter. All of those are normal options within the session. The aim is gentle interaction, rather than passing animals around to make sure everyone gets the same photograph.

The yoga continues, even when a puppy is interesting
Our instructor guides beginner-friendly movement at a pace you can follow. You can adjust how much you participate while remaining on your mat. There is no need to arrive knowing the names of poses or having practised in advance.
Puppies are part of the room, but the class still has a structure. Giving your attention back to the instructor helps everyone move safely around the animals. There is dedicated puppy playtime as well, so you do not need to turn every stretch into a cuddle negotiation.
Puppy playtime and a quieter finish
The session makes space for supervised interaction and relaxation. Some puppies will be curious; others may decide that the comfortable option has already presented itself. Their separate rest area remains available, with bedding, water and toys.
Keep any photographs considerate of other guests and the puppies. If an animal is resting or moving away, let it do so. Our team monitors the room and can step in whenever an interaction needs adjusting.

The care continues between classes
Each class is separated by a full 60-minute break. The puppies have time away from guest interaction while our team cleans and resets the studio using our F10 hygiene procedures. Water and the rest area are checked before the next group arrives.
That rhythm is part of how we run the day in Maroochydore. To choose your own visit, see the current Sunshine Coast puppy yoga sessions, where the date, time and animal details are shown before you book.
