Kitten Yoga in Adelaide: Stretch, Unwind and Meet the Kittens

If your ideal yoga session includes the possibility of a kitten wandering past, our Adelaide programme has made room for exactly that. Kitten yoga brings gentle, instructor-led movement together with time around kittens who can explore, play or take a break when they choose.
We've hosted kitten sessions in Erindale, giving Adelaide cat lovers another way to spend an hour on the mat. You can come for the yoga, the kittens or a fairly even split of the two. There's no need to arrive with any experience, and we provide the mat.

What you do at kitten yoga
The session combines guided yoga with supervised kitten interaction in the same space. Our instructor leads the movement, while the animal-care team focuses on the kittens. You follow at your own pace, with room to pause and enjoy a kitten who has decided to investigate.
The animals don't have a routine to perform. A kitten might be interested in a toy, settle beside a mat or choose to watch from somewhere quieter. That freedom is part of how the session works, rather than an interruption we need to fix.
Our recent Adelaide kitten sessions have run for 60 minutes, with tickets at $59 per person. Each new listing carries its own confirmed details, so check those when the next date is released.
Our Erindale kitten yoga venue
Our Adelaide kitten events have been held at Eastside Yoga & Pilates, at the rear of 370 Kensington Road, Erindale SA 5066. Use the full address on your booking confirmation, including the rear-of-building detail, when planning where to meet.
Erindale is part of our broader Adelaide animal yoga programme. The Adelaide sessions page shows the dates currently available, but a puppy yoga listing is a different event from kitten yoga. Choose one that specifically names kittens if that's the company you're hoping for.
Kitten events are announced on selected dates, rather than being promised every Sunday. Our regular puppy programme continues separately. If there isn't a kitten-labelled session in the current release, keep an eye on future releases instead of booking a different animal session and expecting kittens to attend.
Meeting the kittens at their pace
We start with guidance on the room and safe interaction. Stay at floor level, follow our staff's handling instructions and let a kitten approach or move away freely. Reaching into a retreat space for one more cuddle defeats the purpose of giving the animal somewhere quiet.
Kittens can be curious, playful, cautious or ready for a nap, sometimes within the same hour. Guests don't need to coax a resting kitten back into the activity. Our carers monitor the animals and decide when an interaction needs adjusting.
We've previously welcomed rescue kittens from Lucky Little Paws Rescue and Adoption to our Adelaide sessions. That local connection is one part of the programme, while the session itself stays centred on suitable care, guided yoga and gentle interaction. Our animal welfare approach explains the standards behind it.

You don't have to be experienced in yoga
Our kitten sessions are suitable for beginners. The instructor guides you through the movement, and you can take the session at a pace that feels comfortable. You aren't expected to know the poses or match the person beside you.
It's also fine to arrive on your own. You're joining a shared, ticketed class, so you don't need to organise a group first. If you are coming with someone, check that both bookings match the animal type, date and start time. Two Yoga Paws tickets for the same weekend aren't necessarily tickets to the same experience.
The yoga continues while the kittens are in the room. Keeping conversation considerate during the guided sections helps everyone follow the instructor and keeps the space comfortable for the animals.
A few things to organise before the day
Wear clothes you can move and sit in, bring water and complete your waiver. We supply the yoga mat. Shoes and bags are kept out of the animal area, and guests sanitise their hands before entering.
Only the animals arranged for the event attend, so please leave your own pets at home. If you're checking suitability because of an allergy, access requirement or another concern, contact our team before booking. It's much easier to answer a specific question beforehand than to make assumptions on the day.
Choose your preferred session time from the listing and follow its arrival instructions. That leaves you free to settle in once you're there, rather than sorting out the practical bits while the instructor begins.

Checking for the next Adelaide kitten date
We release new sessions around three weeks ahead, with the animal and venue identified in the booking details. The price and remaining availability for a future kitten event are confirmed on that event's listing.
Have a look at our Adelaide animal yoga sessions for the current release. When kittens are joining us, you'll be able to choose a date knowing exactly which kind of company is coming to the mat.
