Something Different for Your Next Group Outing: Puppy Yoga in Adelaide

Choosing a group activity in Adelaide sounds straightforward until everyone's preferences enter the conversation. One person wants something active, another isn't keen on intense exercise, and the organiser is trying to find a plan that doesn't involve yet another ordinary dinner booking.

If you're planning a birthday, a friends' day out or a team get-together, puppy yoga offers a different kind of shared hour. Our sessions in Erindale combine guided yoga with supervised time around puppies, without requiring the group to have yoga experience.

An activity that doesn't depend on fitness or flexibility

We begin with an introduction, followed by roughly 35 minutes of gentle floor yoga, then dedicated puppy playtime and a quieter close. Our instructors make the movements approachable for beginners, so guests don't need to memorise poses before arriving.

Two very different opinions on whether it's time to get up.

That format suits mixed groups. Someone who already enjoys yoga gets to move, someone completely new can follow along, and nobody needs to compete. It's a chance to do something together, rather than dividing into separate activities.

The puppies may occasionally take the attention away from the instructor. We consider that an occupational hazard of teaching yoga with animals.

Birthdays, friends' catch-ups and hen's celebrations

For a birthday or a catch-up with friends, puppy yoga gives the group a shared experience before going out for lunch or spending the rest of the day together. You don't need elaborate equipment or a full itinerary to make the occasion feel different.

An excellent turnout for the puppy roll call.

It can also suit a lower-key hen's celebration when the group wants an experience that isn't centred on nightlife. Before booking, make sure everyone is comfortable around dogs and meets the minimum participation age of 12 years.

A little planning matters with any group activity. It's worth checking that enough places are available in the same session rather than booking separately and hoping for the best.

A different option for workplace groups

Work gatherings often follow the same lunch or drinks formula. A guided puppy yoga session can offer a relaxed alternative, with the activity organised for you and no pressure for colleagues to perform.

For a larger group, or when you want an exclusive session, contact the team to discuss the booking arrangement before making plans. Public sessions have limited capacity, and a private booking has different practical requirements.

Where we hold puppy yoga in Adelaide

Our regular Adelaide venue is Eastside Yoga & Pilates, at the rear of 370 Kensington Road, Erindale SA 5066. Share the full studio address with the group so guests coming from different parts of Adelaide aren't relying on a suburb name alone.

Check the Adelaide puppy yoga schedule for available dates and times. Because session availability can change, it's best to confirm the group booking before arranging meals or anything else around it.

The animals are participants in their own way

Even for group celebrations, the puppies are never obliged to interact with guests. Our staff supervise handling and provide a quiet space where the animals can rest. Some may be curious; others may prefer to keep their distance for a while.

That's an important part of what makes the experience work. The group can have a lovely hour together without expecting a particular puppy to perform for photographs or cuddles.
