Yoga Paws x LSKD: Rescue Greyhound Yoga at HQ

After teaming up with LSKD for puppy yoga, we were keen to get back to their Loganholme HQ and do something together again. On Saturday 24 October 2026, that meant three rescue greyhound yoga sessions with Greys 2nd Chance, bringing people together for a stretch, some time with the hounds and a good cause.
With tickets at $30 a person and all profits going to the rescue, the morning raised $550 towards caring for and rehoming greyhounds.

How the morning ran
Each 60-minute session paired gentle, beginner-friendly yoga with plenty of time to meet the hounds. You could follow the instructor, take a breather or say hello when a greyhound wandered over. There was no need to be an experienced yogi, and pausing for a pat was very much part of it.
Their carers stayed with them throughout, and guests kept interactions down at floor level so the hounds could approach comfortably. It also gave anyone curious about greyhounds a chance to ask about their care, fostering and adoption.

What the hounds get out of it
For a rescue greyhound getting used to life beyond racing, meeting new people and exploring somewhere different can be useful experiences. Done gently, at the dog's pace, those introductions can help build confidence. That's the socialisation side of these sessions, and it's a big part of why we run them.
The hounds choose how much they join in. They can come over for a pat, explore or take a break with their carers, while we keep an eye on how they're going. Having things to sniff, people to meet and the freedom to step away gives them opportunities for enrichment without rushing them.
Putting $550 towards the rescue's work
All $550 in profits from the three sessions is going to Greys 2nd Chance. Donations help cover vet care, food and supplies, transport and rehabilitation, so everyone who booked helped put something towards the dogs' ongoing care.
Greys 2nd Chance is run by volunteers and works with greyhounds across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. They help the dogs settle into family life, find suitable homes and keep supporting adopters afterwards. We're glad this collaboration could give their work a bit more local exposure, too.

Thanks for coming along
A big thank you to LSKD for having us, to Greys 2nd Chance and the carers who brought the hounds along, and to everyone who joined a session. We really appreciate you being part of it.
